Throughout the past year, the team here at Walker Mower have been working hard on this secondary school redevelopment project.
Working alongside the contractor, Rooff Construction, the Walker Mower team assisted in the redevelopment of Bower Park in multiple areas. The project consisted of various different areas of consideration, including over thirty classrooms for daily use, an IT suite and just shy of a dozen science laboratories.
Walker Mower designed both the mechanical and the electrical aspects of the project, ensuring that all drawings were designed efficiently and to standard set out by both the contractor and the school. A specialist ventilation system was installed in the Sports Hall, designed to cater for the area under a mixed-use capacity as the room was designed for use as both an exercise centre during sports lessons, but also for use as an exam hall during the exams season. As well as this, the electrical team worked closely with lighting specialist and supplies, ASD Lighting, to ensure full and adequate coverage of lighting throughout the classrooms, conforming with the relevant British Standards and approved documents for lighting levels in educational premises'.
With the project set to finish in the coming months, Walker Mower are proud to have been a part of this design and the assurance of a well-built and sustainable establishment for the future.
