57 Mawney Road is a dental practice owned and operated by the Essex Family Dental. Walker Mower were appointed to design the mechanical and electrical aspects of the new-build practice in August 2019.
Comprising of two floors, 57 Mawney Road is an elaborately designed, modern and sleek looking building in Romford, Essex. Mechanically, the building houses a state of the art plant room, which is unusual for a building of this size, but which allowed for ease of design for the services serving the building. Each operating surgery is heated and cooled by a VRF system, allowing for a climate controlled environment for staff and patient needs.
Electrically, Walker Mower designed lighting to help keep a calm and relaxing feel to the operating surgeries, with low volume strip lighting running the entire length of the room in the ceiling void. The rest of the rooms are supplied with ceiling grid style lights to ensure adequate and efficient lighting throughout the premises, and a specialist designed pendant light hung in the stairwell to keep the calm and relaxing feel of the premises going. The site is fully equipped with state of the art CCTV and intruder detection systems, along with an efficient fire detection system to ensure all regulations are met and catered for.
