Charlton Athletic Football Club is a family club founded in June 1905 and situated in South-East London, which sits at the heart of the community.
The club's home ground, The Valley, is where the club has played football since 1919. CAFC have been a professional football club since 1920 and first entered the Football League in 1921.
Another of Charlton's venues is the training ground, at Sparrows Lane, New Eltham. The training ground is currently undergoing a major redevelopment which once completed, will be of huge benefit to the club, its academy and women’s team, Charlton Athletic Community Trust, Footscray Rugby Club and the local community for many decades to come. The project is split over four phases, all of which Walker Mower has been or will be future involved with as the project progresses.
CAFC has long been a major client for the KWisdom Holdings group, with Walker Mower's sister company, KWisdom Developments having worked on the electrical maintenance at both The Valley and the training ground for a long time. Upon the announcement of the redevelopment of the training ground, Walker Mower were extremely proud to have been given the position of technical design team throughout all four phases of the project. Currently, the club is mid-way through the project, with Walker Mower's design team having already assisted with many aspects, including the mechanical and electrical incoming services designs, technical design of the tank room, as well as multiple calculations to ensure that all aspects of the project are covered correctly. With the future phases of the project, Walker Mower will also be employed to design the lighting of the new sports hall, as well as other design aspects of the new build.
Walker Mower is also the official sponsor for CAFC's 2021/2022 Football Season.
