The partial redevelopment of Bower Park Academy in Romford, Essex was a large project which Walker Mower was proud to be a part of.
Bower Park Academy is a secondary school located in Romford, Essex, and is part of the Empower Learning Academy Trust; a group which is made up of three secondary schools and one primary school in the local area.
Walker Mower were employed to work with Rooff Construction to design the mechanical and electrical elements of the redevelopment. The project consisted of over 30 classrooms, including science labs, IT suites and the enormous sports hall which required particular attention to ensure it was fit for duel-use purpose. The project was undertaken in a number of phases, with total refurbishment of parts of the existing school being undertaken alongside the creation of brand new science laboratories, equipped with the latest and most up to date facilities. Also created were a number of new Maths classrooms and Humanities classrooms.
